Gi Heung Choi · 2013

This study first focuses on the quantitative evaluation of safety certification of industrial machines and devices and confirms the effectiveness of such safety system. In order to reduce both the frequency and the strength of accidents associated with industrial machines and devices technical causes of accident needs to be resolved. This implies that efforts must be directed towards securing the essential safety of industrial machines and devices at manufacturing stage hence guaranteeing the efficiency of safety system. Major target of safety regulations also need to be shifted from users to manufacturers accordingly. Adjustment of items subject to safety certification and self-declaration of confirmity and implementation of risk assessment are further suggested.
