Wireless medical devices are very useful for monitoring the health of patients continuously. Wearable medical devices come in contact with the harsh environment many times. Hence, security of these devices while sending data wirelessly is of utmost importance. The proposed system is based on security with low power consumption for portable devices. The proposed system includes collecting the data from patient's body parameters, processing of data, encryption, and transmitting data wirelessly. It also includes decryption, and finally, displaying the data on the computer. The encryption is done by implementing the cryptographic algorithm, i.e., Blowfish in the ARM7 controller. The decryption is done on the computer at doctor's side. The data from sensors was securely sent to the receiver with low power consumption. The system can be made available at low cost so that more patients can get benefits.
