Handoff is the main reason of the call drop all over the world. So to find the accurate handoff point may be of great help in the communication world. Call drop is mainly observed when a person is moving from the coverage of one access network to another access network. Although a lot of progress has been made in the field of reduction of calls drops, but still there are open issues that are to be resolved. The handoff point and threshold signal strength have been estimated using factors like received signal strength, distance, threshold signal strength. In this research paper, free space model is considered for calculating factors in theoretical and practical implementation followed by comparative analysis.
