A Software Testing Method Based on Error Propagation Slicing Technology
Kun Wang, Yi‐Chen Wang · 2015
This paper proposes a modeling approach based on software correlated defects -- error propagation slicing (EPS). EPS, describing the way error propagates in software, detects potential defects which are hard to be detected by traditional approaches and strategies. To begin with, software testing method in this paper will inject cultivated seed of defects, and its potential defects. Test cases of the seed defects will be designed afterwards to get error propagation slices of the input and find out the error coded sentence. With metamorphic condition of metamorphic testing generates derivative test case, generating new test case on the basis of a successful test case, we will continue to test the program. In the constantly iterative process of generating test cases, substituting intelligent algorithm for manual calculation will reduce the workload of testers.
