Toward Performance-Oriented Ontology Debugging Support Using Heuristic Approaches and DL Reasoning

Naoki Yamada, Naoki Fukuta · 2016

In this paper, we propose a heuristic approach for ontology debugging based on the results of DL reasoning as well as the results of querying performance. The system has an ability to find inconsistencies in an ontology and to suggest possible modification of them by the heuristically identifiable characteristics of reasoning results from its concept hierarchy and the set of relations in the ontology, as well as their query results when the ontology is used on an inference-enabled SPARQL endpoint.
