Cooperative relaying for interference mitigation in device to device communication

This paper proposes a user allocation and interference reduction scheme utilizing both cooperating relaying and interference forwarding techniques. The close-by users experiences correlated interference due to the dense deployment of cellular network. We propose this technique as an interference management tool for improving the error probability or outage ratio and the cell throughput. In the proposed scheme, the users are classified into 2 sets: d2d users and cellular users. The resources are time shared between the two sets. Multiple d2d pairs can operate over the same cellular spectrum. The orthogonality is maintained through the use of independent orthogonal codes for each user. And the destination nodes cooperate with each other by transmitting the interference signal in phase three.
