Encryption ensures the confidentiality and privacy of the data outsourced to the cloud. Searchable encryption protocols support search on encrypted data by a third party without disclosing any information about the sensitive data or search query. Multi-user serachable encryption scheme support multiple users to search and access the encrypted data outsourced to the cloud. Selectively sharing the right subset of data among a set of authorized users by a third party is very challenging. The proposed system based on an inverted index structure provides fine-grained search control and has logarithmic search complexity. Moreover, the system achieved fine-grained search control without sharing secret keys among authorized users or relying on trusted third parties. Ranking of the documents is incorporated to ensure that the most relevant documents are returned. The security of the system is proved based on the standard Computational Diffie Hellman assumption.
