Virtualization security: A survey

Currently cloud computing is the dominant technology capable of addressing the current business demands. However, like all technologies it has threats and vulnerabilities, either from the cloud technology itself or from its enabling technologies. Virtualization is a main driving technology for cloud computing. In this service delivery model, the user has the ability to flexibly create a virtual machine with the desired requirements of operating system and software and admits it to the cloud provider network and to the Internet. Virtualization like any other technologies has some vulnerabilities and threats. This paper surveys virtualization threats and vulnerabilities and some of the countermeasures for them.
