Software development requires proper planning and efforts. In general, Developers focused on functionality and features. Developers are less bothered about Quality of Code (for example Complexity) and Testing. The code has to be testable, maintainable and clear. Organizations generally try to streamline the process and few even don't follow any process. Following a process depends on many factors like the number of members of the team, criticality of software, budget etc. We understand whatever the type of software following best practices will result in good quality software, which will be testable and maintainable. And in turn, this make a good product.
