Multipath TCP has opened a new branch of research concerning several fields of applications. By using multiple paths, the Quality of Service (QoS) can be enhanced in different ways. Interactive real time data is a special case in Internet communication as involved applications have their very own QoS demands. rMPTCP [2] as a modification of Multipath TCP is able to enhance reliability and equalizes latency via multiple re-dundant connections. Our new rMPTCP version comes with an API for rMPTCP-aware applications and a new scheduler featur-ing some adjustment mechanisms. In this paper we present a study of different redundancy modes, enabled by our new scheduler, and their effect regarding bandwidth. Within a measurement set, the tested redundancy modes are as well compared to a similar development which has been deployed at the same time. We have executed some experiments and determined some major differences to it. This paper shall give an overview about our current research in rMPTCP and the next steps to be expected.
