P2P inspired stochastic model for analysis of polio management in Pakistan
Ajab Khan, Muhammad Adnan Khan · 2016
We propose to use a new approach to model the polio spread and prevention. The propose approach is inspired from P2P network. The approach is based on the graph transformations, which is a visual rule based formalism. The graph transformation has properties for stochastic modelling and simulation. In order to develop a stochastic model using graph transformation, we consider polio spread and prevention techniques as a P2P network, where children, parents, polio and vaccines are represented by graph nodes and graph edges use labels to associate edges with a node by modelling operations. Further, with use of stochastic simulation, we collect various types of statistics and we evaluate the network nodes or population of the area for the outcome. The simulation can give average number of infected children or it can show average number of immunization cycles occurred. All this information can help the health planer to make better planning for vaccination and prevention of polio.
