Design of Flameproof Horn Loudspeaker for Hazardous Area Application

Design of flameproof born loudspeaker for industrial applications where hazardous gases or vapours are present is described here. Industries like Petrochemical, Fertilizer and Chemical plants, oil rigs and the like require high power electro-acoustic transducer system to convey important messages and alarm signals amidst high background noise. A pressure chamber horn loudspeaker with explosion proof housing incorporating increased safety features developed by the author indigenously is presented here.
