Electronic Analogue Computers: I. The Adding Circuit

The object of this and similar papers is to discuss the basic units of an electronic analogue computer and prepare a ground wherein the problems that can be tackled by it may be presented. In the present paper an attempt is made to explain how a high gain D.C. amplifier makes it possible for the simple adding circuit to become a practical unit in an electronic analogue computer.
