Application of Lustre file system in seismic data processing

With the development of petroleum prospecting, large scaled 3D seismic prospecting techniques has been widely applied. As a result, the amount of seismic data has increased exponentially. The traditional network file systems restrict the seismic data processing. Based on objected storage device, the file system-Lustre receives increasing emphasis. Better capability of large-scale data processing, Lustre has been applied in the seismic prospecting. In this paper, we analysis the Lustre file system in seismic data I/O processing.
