Service discovery in clustered MANET and Internet

Manjula S, Suresha · 2016

Within the Mobile Ad hoc Network the nodes which are mobile devices are capable of configuring themselves inside the network. There is no any fixed topology within MANETs. To widen the coverage and to access the global services, MANETs are combined with internet to form a hybrid network. Clustering of mobile nodes achieves scalability and also supports service discovery. Gateways are required to combine mobile nodes in MANET with internet. Cluster heads or Group heads are there to perform service discovery. In our paper we have employed multimedoid grouping technique to form clusters and for cluster head selection and IAODV protocol is used for routing and reactive way of service discovery technique is adopted for service discovery.
