This paper illustrates the experience gained from the introduction of user-oriented software production and quality control processes at SOGEI SpA to improve Usability and Quality in Use of interactive software systems and products. The validity of this experience has also been widely confirmed both by the almost full compliance of our software production processes to ISO DIS 13407 Human Centered Design for Interactive Systems' which represents the international reference for suppliers of interactive software products and, furthermore, by the introduction of our Evaluation module for Usability and Quality in Use in the new norm ISO CD 14598―6 Software Product Evaluation: Evaluation Modules which already represents the international reference for software evaluation in medium and large IT supply contracts in Europe.
