This work presents a novel CCEP correction approach in the HIHO iterative TPC decoding. The proposed approach utilizes flipping decoding to break CCEPs instead of erasure decoding [9]. Compared with the state-of-the-art CCEP correction approach, Al-Dweik et. al.'s CCEP correction approach [9], simulation results demonstrate that for high SNRs, the proposed method can offer a substantial BER performance improvement with even less computational complexity. For low SNRs, a significant reduction in the computation can be obtained without BER performance loss.
