Smartphones having limited capabilities to store, and process data. In recent era, smartphones adoption is growing exponentially and at the same time with limited power availability and high power consumption is one of the major concern of smartphone users and manufacturers. In parallel and distributed simulations (PDS), traditional algorithms consumed large amount of energy. This is due to the fact traditional algorithms are designed without considering power as a limiting factor. In the domain of parallel simulations, limited work exist that focus of power consumption and optimization of simulation codes in mobile online distributed simulations. In this work, we measured the energy consumption of various components of mobile device by executing optimistic simulation protocol. The preliminary results are reported concerning energy consumption of socket, kernel, simulation code, and LCD. We further suggested some improvements in the execution of protocol to optimize the energy consumption.
