Digital storage technology

It has been pointed out to me that the statement I made in the article on digital storage technology published in the July 1970 issue of Physics Bulletin (p310) under the heading 'Optical storage techniques': "no store based on optical techniques is operating in a computer" may be misleading and I would like to make the following qualification. There are, of course, several optical storage systems operating with computers, but so far these are all for special applications.
