Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) are believed to be a highly promising technology and will play an increasingly important role in future generation wireless mobile networks. Wireless Mesh Networks have emerged as a highly flexible, reliable and cost efficient solution for wirelessly covering large areas and for providing low-cost Internet access through multi-hop communications. It is anticipated that they will not only resolve the limitations of wireless ad hoc networks, local area networks, personal area networks, and metropolitan area networks but also significantly improve such networks' performance. there has been a tremendous proliferation of VoIP services in both residential homes and corporate offices. Providing VoIP users with true mobile phone services having the freedom of roaming requires wide area wireless coverage, and multihop wireless mesh networks have been considered a practical solution for wide area coverage.
