Time and the K meson

'How the K meson tells past from future is still a mystery' writes Professor P C W Davies ( Physics Bulletin December 1980 p356). But 'past' and 'future' are human concepts which have seemed to correspond exactly with physical reality because our experience was for long concerned with statistically numerous collections of particles, for which 'entropy indicates the direction of the arrow of time'.
