Information technology in particle physics

Information technology is having an impact on elementary particle physicists as a result of a project to make all elementary particle scattering data easily available through computer searchable data bases. Administered from the University of Durham and supported by the Science Research Council, the work in the UK is carried out in collaboration with the Rutherford Laboratory and the University of Glasgow.
