Service customization to quickly develop and provide the tailor-made services requested by individual customers is one of the main Objectives of the intelligent network. The service creation enviroment for this customization needs to know any requested service to be generated taking into consideration the standard interface that the service control processes should have in the real network under the mufti-vendor circumstance. This standard interface is proposed to be provided with the elements for protocol handling as well as for database handling, represented by the TCAP protocol of SS#7 and the SQL database access language respectively which are both considered as widely accepted standards. Thiss paper, after discussing the evolution scenario of the intelligent network, discloses the requirements to the service creation and provision environment. It then describes the overall operation flow that this environment should provide. It finally describes the future of a prototype system developed for verification of the proposed scheme.
