File lock parallel strategy for RTM

Conventional DATA/N parallel strategy for RTM is low efficient if computing nodes are heterogeneous or non-exclusive by RTM processes. Its overall performance is determined by the most inefficient node. We present a file lock parallel strategy for RTM. In the file lock parallel mode, a file records the sequence number of next shot gather need migration. Every computing node gets one shot gather via the file each time until all seismic data have been migrated. The file lock parallel strategy for RTM implements a single shot level multi-node load balancing automatically. A node has the more powerful computing power, deals with the more seismic data. In general, file lock parallel mode would be more efficient than DATA/N parallel mode for RTM.
