On behalf of the Organizing Committee of ICEDSA2015, and with great pleasure, we would like to welcome all delegates to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Being held from 14th to 15th September 2015 at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur, the event is co-sponsored by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, (AURAK), United Arab Emirates. This joint conference is an event held under the MoU signed between UiTM and AURAK, the aim being for this conference to be organized by both universities in the future. The conference creates a forum for engineers, scientists and practitioners of varied disciplines and their associated applications. Throughout this event we hope to create an opportunity for researchers, academics and students to get together and, more importantly, to welcome new peers in diverse areas of expertise. On behalf of the organizing committee we would like to take the opportunity to express our gratitude to all reviewers who have been working hard to review the papers on time and share their expertise. Special mention goes to the distinguished Keynote Speakers for their willingness to spend their time and share their valuable knowledge. My deepest gratitude goes to the Organizing Committee who have been working hard behind the scenes for the success of this event.
