Cloud computing is one of the current research topics because of its increasing demand and fancy features like pay as you go facility, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, on demand services and broad network access. Since managing a large pool of resources involved in a cloud computing scenario is difficult as well as a necessary job, effective scheduling techniques must be there to tackle with the problem. This paper reviews three recently developed nature inspired metaheuristic techniques namely firefly algorithm, cuckoo search and bat algorithm for dealing with scheduling problem, discuss their advantageous features and the future scope of the algorithms for scheduling in computing environment of clouds.
