Single phase multi-group teaching learning algorithm for single objective real-parameter numerical optimization (CEC2016)

In this work, the performance of a variant of Teaching Learning Based Optimization algorithm, Single Phase Multi-Group Teaching Learning Optimization is evaluated on the basis of its performance on single objective real-parameter numerical optimization problems. These problems have been provided as part of one of the competition in IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation 2016. It was observed that the performance of the algorithm is competitive to other optimization techniques and satisfactory for many problems.
