In this paper, the biometric recognition systems of individuals based on iris recognition is studied, we present a method for locating iris from human eye image, we propose to extract iris edges' by mean of threshold to find the circle of the pupil as first step. The second step is to find the external iris edge using hough transform. The method was tested with CASIA V1 Iris database and the accuracy rate is 97%,
