Mining Time Series Data

Abstract Some of the problems raised by massive time series databases are briefly considered. They include indexing, clustering, classification, prediction, association detection, summarization, anomaly detection, and segmentation, most of which make explicit or implicit use of a distance measure. A key feature is the approximate representation of time series.
