Cross-layer Research of Random Network Coding Based on WSN

【Abstract】This paper proposes a cross-layer scheme to realize random network coding based on Wireless Sensor Network(WSN), and simulates it on NS2 platform. It compares network coding with several traditional sensor routing schemes, and analyzes the capabilities of encoding and decoding. The scheme is applied to WSN. Some factors which affect decode probability of network coding, such as queue length and position of Sink are evaluated. 【Key words】Wireless Sensor Network(WSN); random network coding; cross-layer
