Design of mobile terminal location system in WCDMA
Wujun Yao, Xiaoyuan Yang · 2016
This paper designs and implements a WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) network mobile terminal positioning system. In this system, we use a device to call the target initiatively so as to tempt it to establish a link with the base station, but every call stops before the target perception. The system captures relevant parameters in link establishment process, from which the location-related information can be parsed. The system is divided into the main pointing device and the auxiliary positioning device. The main positioning device is responsible for screening the identity of the target and obtaining the relevant parameters to determine the general direction of the target while the auxiliary positioning device is responsible for approximation precise positioning. The paper elaborates the preliminary design of hardware and software system and implementation details. Experimental results indicate that the system can locate the target effectively and precisely in a suburban environment.
