Mashup technology integrates information or functionality from two or more sources to build a new Web page or application.Web services and applications are widely used Web sources.Various research work and industrial tools have appeared to ease the creation of mashups. However, the existing approaches have limitations of the integration of Web applications without programming. Moreover, the cooperation of Web applications and REST services without programming in the mashups is not supported. We propose a description based approach that allows users to build mashups with general Web applications and REST services without programming. This approach supports the cooperation between the Web applications and REST services in mashups.A Java-based library is designed to help the users to build mashups through programming more easily. The implementation and experiments show that our approach is efficiently applicable to the general Web applications and REST Services.I am deeply
