Detection of Piano Keys Pressed in Video
Potcharapol Suteparuk · 2006
Method Experimental Results Typical piano video tutorials online mostly include a sheet and an audio file such as MIDI. Some software such as Synthesia also visualizes the sequences and duration of keys pressed in the piece. But unless we carefully watch an example of how the piece is played, we cannot see the fingers movement pressing the keys. Our goal is to automate keys detection from video in hope that it will be useful for online learners.
