In today's computer domain, the world has fast become a global village. The amalgamation of fast processing computers, high storage hardware and effective automated software with the basis of interlinked network has been working like a huge web connections for all kinds of activities. Software crisis paved way to agile technologies in software engineering. The basic objective remains development of good quality software within specified budgets and within limited time constraints. Thus began the improvised form of various approaches like object oriented concept, component based development and reengineering. These paradigms find suitability according to the requirement of the specific application in question. This paper provides a comparative analysis of all current state-of the-art approaches of software engineering.
