Prescription of exercise therapy for diabetics is a difficult task. Experience shows that the skilled clinicians are able to express their practical knowledge linguistically in the form of conditional statements (if ...then). Linguistic values are a source of linguistic uncertainty, which can be described using fuzzy set theory. The set of rules represents the linguistic model of the problem to be solved. The fuzzy expert system could assist the doctors in the exercise therapy prescription. Developed consulting fuzzy expert system represents a useful support for the indication of exercise therapy, choice of suitable physical activity and its regulation. The knowledge base is formed by expert’s statements that determine the relations between significant (input and output) factors. The knowledge base should be regularly refined and perfected.
