Using Api-Calculus for Formal Modeling of SDIAgent: A Multi-Agent Distributed Geospatial Data Integration System

This paper presents a formal description of SDIAgent, a novel agent-based distributed geospatial-data integration system using Api-calculus. Api-calculus, an extension to P i-Calculus, provides a suitabl e basis for formally defining the behavior of the components of distributed systems which contain mobile processes. It is not our intention at this stage to establish correctness of the components or the completeness of the model. These will be addressed later using existing tools and by developing new ones.
