Non-intrusive load monitoring using orthogonal wavelet analysis

This paper presents a new approach based on orthogonal wavelet decomposition applied to non-intrusive load monitoring. Supervised and semi-supervised machine learning classifiers are used to automate the load classification process. Numerical results exemplifying the effectiveness of the proposed approach are presented and conclusions are drawn.
