Due to the obvious shortcomings in many aspects of technologies based on classic irreversible electronics, researches are trying to find alternatives that are better suited to support the increasing modern computational requirements. One such alternative is in the form of reversible logic. Reversibility has found extensive use in various forms of technological developments such as quantum computing. By means of this concepts, researchers are constantly attempting to create digital designs based on reversibility. The authors here have designed the implementation of a sequential circuit, namely the sequence detector by use of reversible logic technology.
