Jogannagari Malla Reddy, Srinivas Prasad · International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development · 2016

The role of testing increased in the manufacture, electronics, and communication software industries where innovative and redesign takes place to gain the customer satisfaction and meet the competitive nature. The testing is most widely used approach to ensure the quality. The software industry is youngest compared with other industries. The testing is more important in the software industry to maintain the product quality. The researchers are paying more attention on Software Testing in the areas such as mobile phones, control systems, embedded systems and other relevant paradigms. The various activities performed in the software development life cycle aimed with different goals and challenges. The verification and validation (V&V) is forefront of the software testing. The design of V&V plays the vital role in the design and production cycle of every product. Finally the overall product quality depends upon the customer satisfaction. The paper focuses on the state of the art verification and validation techniques in software development and representing the future direction techniques in the area of research.
