In the continuously evolving environment it is quite difficult to determine how actually a network is designed. Yet this information is necessary for network management. Here in this paper we studies about a simple protocol called DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) which makes the process of network designing and management quite easy. Traditionally the topology discovering algorithms are based on SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) but due to it complex working DHCP is designed and it works well even with IPv6. The version used with IPv6 is called DHCPv6. We will study that DHCPv6 is not affected by its relation with finding its adjacent system.
