Using additional texts in the HSC: History and Memory and Discovery

I suspect students often undervalue the importance of additional texts in the various modules which require them and this is unwise because it is often the way such texts are used that determines the final band for a student's answer. It is obvious that additional texts must make clear the connections with the concept of the Module and that student's focus needs also to be on how these concepts are conveyed. What may be less obvious is how much of their answer needs to be devoted to the selfchosen texts.
