Multichannel Acquisition Of Bioelectric Signals Using The Flying Capacitor Technique

ABSTRArn The authors present a method for simultaneous recording of several bioelectric signals using only one amplification channel, every stage working in a switching mode. This procedure is an application of the switching capacitor technique already presented by the authors, which enables digital control of the acquisition process. The improved switching behaviour of bioelectrodes makes it possible to multiplex the signals in the input without important interference problems. The technique also allows the multiplexing of floating signals because the common mode loops are interrupted.
