Technological advancements provide greater opportunity to strengthen software development. Handling clustered-file in client-server architecture typically provides more stable and secures storage feature and mounting. Unsecured storage space results to unwanted events such as permanent deletion of files and plagiarism. With a clustered-file management system this problem is largely eliminated, allowing very large numbers of data to be clustered together; this approach allows every client to have secured read/write access to the files in the file system simultaneously. File-O-Matic is one of the components of the system, which acts as an agent between the users and clustered-file management server (CFMS). The CFMS has two major services namely: account repository and file repository services, which play an important role in managing the whole system infrastructure. As a part of the growing software industry, open source technology enhances the design and development of high performance and quality systems. These tools contributed in developing the CFMS, which also promotes the usage and implementation of these services in computer-based systems.
