Eye-head Coordination While Viewing A Target On A Two-dimensional Plane
M. Yamada · 2005
Eye and head coordination when viewing a target on a twodimensional plane is discussed. When the target distance exceeds 30 degrees, the deviation of the share of the head becomes smaller, which suggests that both eye and head motor systems are driven according to a preprogrammed sequence above 30 degrees. It is also clarified that the neck tilts along every meridian. This result indicates that the visual system calculates both the horizontal and vertical displacements of eye and head movement while considering the neck-tilt. Finally, a model of the eye and head movement control system, which includes neck-tilt, is proposed.
