Multiwavelet packet based OFDM system

The traditional FFT based OFDM has the drawback that a rectangular window has been used, which creates rather high side lobes. Looking at other transforms leads us to the multiwavelet packet transform. The multiwavelet packet based OFDM bas been proposed. It is more flexible in data rate and has much lower side lobes. For the multiwavelet packet can overlap both in time and frequency domain, the new scheme has more band efficiency. Moreover, the number of carriers can be reduced and has lower peak-to-average power ratio.
