Qualitative Modelling Of Glucose Metabolism In Plasma

A qualitative model of glucose metabolism in plasma is proposed here. Its main advantages lie in the fact that the requirements of this model are by far less severe than for any mathematical model and in the fact that qualitative modelling obtains explicit causal links from the very structure of the model. As a case study, we have simulated the effects of the administration of a high quantity of glucose for diabetes diagnosis.
