Creating GUIs Using K oda

Matheus C. Carvalho · 2016

This chapter talks about background of a tool named ‘Koda’ that helps with graphical user interface (GUI) creation. In order to start Koda, one needs to go to SciTE and save a script, even if it has nothing written on it. The main feature in Koda is that you can build a GUI in the style ‘what you see is what you get’ (WYSIWYG). When you start Koda, the center of the attention is Form1. In addition to helping with formatting single controls, Koda makes the task of grouping and organizing GUI controls very easy. The two small windows completing the Koda interface are ‘Object TreeView’ and ‘Form List’. Koda saves its work as projects, and not as scripts. It automatically generates the AutoIt code for the GUI. The generated code is by default in message loop mode, but one can choose to change it to on event mode.
