Martin L. R. Fürst, Gernot Kronreif, Christian Wögerer, Michael Rubik, Igor Holländer, Harald Penz · 2004

This paper describes a unique high-speed coin sorting machine developed by ARC Seibersdorf Research GmbH. Based on optical recognition, different coins from about 100 countries have to be classified and sorted with a speed of up to 10 coins per second. Beside detailed information about the hardware and software components of the sorting device, the paper also gives some first results from the operational phase started with June 2003.
