Digital down conversion is one of the key technologies of pulse radar IF receiver, while the traditional DDC implementation methods with existing FPGA cannot meet the requirements for the hardware resource of bandwidth and filter accuracy. In recent years, the development of digital receiver becomes possible as the fast development of microwave integrated circuit technology and the rapid development of digital receiver for high speed digital signal processing (DSP) chip, high speed sampler (ADC), the site can be programmable gate array (FPGA), direct digital synthesizer (DDS) and the application of high computing speed of FFT devices. Based on this, this paper puts forward two kinds of optimization method for the structure of digital down frequency conversion and gives the distribution structure of FIR filter. Then the application of them in pulse radar system is discussed.
