A minimal partial realization algorithm for MIMO systems. V: A canonical matrix continued fraction

Based on the algorithms to generate minimal partial realizations which were given in previous parts of this series of reports, we give here a normalization which defines a unique (canonical) continued fraction whose convergents are uniquely defined minimal partial realizations and where each subsystem, represented by a term in the continued fraction is physically realizable.
